In part due to the experience at the 2008 camp when a contagious illness spread throughout camp, in conjunction with the cabin-style accommodations at CityTeam Camp MayMac, we are asking that Special Camp aides (and campers as well) who have exhibited contagious symptoms in the 48 hours prior to the start of camp delay their arrival at camp until they have been symptom-free for 48 hours. Specific symptoms are listed in the JEMS Special Camp health screening form, which is available for download from here. We ask that you please print out a hardcopy of the health screening form, read the list of symptoms, self-assess your health condition immediately prior to departing for camp, and bring a signed copy of the completed form with you to camp. We shall be collecting completed/signed health screening forms on the first day of camp.
In addition, a COVID-19 antigen ("at home") test will be required of all camp attendees prior to departing for camp, with negative test result confirmed. If test result is positive, please notify camp staff immediately and delay your arrival to camp for 5 days with negative test result, or cancel your trip to camp altogether.
