Special Camp is now required to perform a background check of all Special Camp workers, in line with what is done for all of the other JEMS youth camps. As a part of the application process, after you are conditionally accepted to serve as a Special Camp aide, you will be asked to provide specific information to Live Scan from which a background check can be performed; Live Scan is the organization that JEMS has selected to perform fingerprinting and background checks. We apologize for this inconvenience, but rest assured that the purpose is to provide as safe and secure an environment as possible for our Special Campers.
